LORD JESUS CHRIST RECEIVES SINNERS!

I am reminded of KJV Luke 15:1-2.


KJV Luke 15:1-2,

1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.


At first I didn't pay any close attention at all the two verses of Scripture until I noticed a few CRUCIAL words: "drew near"... that's it...

The publican and sinners DREW NEAR to HEAR THE WORD OF GOD Who is JESUS CHRIST! They knew they needed something only He could provide and that was HIS LOVE.

They passed the Lesson...

The kind, strong and HUMBLE approach of Jesus talking to everyone as a CARING COMPASSIONATE human-being who did not judge people by what they did allowed them to feel free to approach and be around such a non-judgmental person in their eyes Who spoke with such Wisdom and Truth; that HE IS...

He was "down-to-earth" even though He descended from "Heaven Above"... Amen.

The Pharisees and scribes did not learn the Lesson in these two verses of Scripture: they were "caught up in themselves" thinking they were "righteous", better than everyone else in their self-righteous religious "attitude of superiority" that they in fact missed the ship and the so-called "sinners" are the ones on the boat practicing true humility in acknowledging their sinful, flawed humanity and their spirits' need for a DEEPER TRUTH leading them to CHRIST! Amen!
